Longest Night Service

Advent and Christmas are often difficult for those who are grieving alone, struggling through change, and wondering when God's light will pierce the darkness of their lives. This worship service creates a quiet, comforting place where Christ can nurture hope in your despair, faith in your doubt, and love in your loneliness.

Asheville, NC 2018 Mission

Asheville will be an unforgettable week serving with the homeless in the heart of downtown Asheville. This is a great chance to meet and truly befriend those who are without homes or marginalized and understand life in a very different context than RDU. It's also an opportunity to break down stereotypes and barriers between material wealth and poverty, and in their place, to find genuinely deep, faith-based relationships.

Carolina Cross Connection has partnered with local groups and organizations of Asheville, chief among them, the Haywood Street Congregation, a unique church of homeless and housed alike. Our week will be spent working, learning, and living alongside the people involved and impacted by this ministry. Participants must have completed sixth grade. Cost of trip is $350. This trip would be perfect for families!

Church Family Campout

On our church's tenth anniversary, we'll be gathering together at the church for a campout!

For $20 per camp spot, everyone is invited to spend the night grilling, gaming, and watching an outdoor movie together. This would be perfect for families of all ages and for a quick getaway in town. This will be our first fundraiser for our playground and courtyard area!

A few FAQ:

  • It's BYO food, beverage, and gear; just like a regular campout! But we'll have a giant grill, power/electricity, and indoor plumbing as well.
  • If you'd like to hangout, rather than the overnight, that's great!
  • We’ll be watching a big outdoor movie, as well as guided walk to see the gravestones at the cemetery!
  • Check in starts @4pm (Friday)/Check out is @11am (Saturday)
  • Send an email to cody@allsaintsumc.org for any questions!

In preparing for our January 2018 pilgrimage, join the Saints' for two times (Sunday at 12pm, and Monday, the 17th at 7pm) with a visual tour through important historical and modern sites of Israel-Palestine. For questions, contact Cody
